Who can be verified as an owner?

Anyone who currently owns, or has previously owned, a car listed on hypercars.fyi. That includes cars held through a company or a trust.

How do you verify ownership?

Three ways. A photo of the car with a one-time code written on paper beside it; a registration document or title with the VIN visible; or a referral from an owner who is already verified.

What happens to my documents?

They are deleted as soon as the check is done. We keep one line: that the claim was verified, which model, the date, and the method. No VIN, no document, no address.

Is my name published?

Only if you want it to be. The default badge is anonymous and reads simply Owner-verified. You choose whether to add a name, a handle, or nothing at all.

Does it cost anything?

No. Verification is free and will stay free. There is no owners subscription and there never will be.

What do I actually get?

A verified badge on the page for your car, the option to add a short owner note that appears on it, and an invitation to the private owners group.

How it works

Three ways to verify

A photo with a code

Email us and we send back a one-time code. Write it on a piece of paper, photograph it beside the car, send it over. Nothing identifying, nothing kept.

Registration or title

A photo of the V5C, title or equivalent with the VIN visible. Cover everything else — we only need to see that the document and the car agree.

A referral

An introduction from an owner who is already verified. Once the group is established this becomes the main route in, as it should be.

A verified-owner badge on the profile, and an optional short note in your own words — what it is actually like to live with. That is the part no spec table can give anyone.

The private group

A small, quiet, verified-only room. No fee, no pitch, no press. Specialists, parts, transport, and people who own the same things you do.

On privacy, plainly.

We are UK-based and treat a verification document as something to look at once and then destroy. Nothing is stored, nothing is shared, nothing is sold. The record we keep is a single line: verified, which model, when, and by which method.
